Ownership.

32. Neither Government shall without the consent

of the other Government cede ownership or control of any portion

of the Railway or transfer its rights or authority under this

Agreement to any third party.

Termination of Agreement.

33.

Should at any time owing to war or rebell-

-ion either party to the Agrement be unable to fulfil the pro-

-visions and conditions thereof each party shall after due and

reasonable notice withdraw all plant which belongs to it from

the Section of the other party and shall work its own Section

independently of the other, maintaining only such of the working

staff as are actually employed on its Section and arranging for

the closing of the books and accounts up to the date of separat-

-ion. All rolling stock provided by either Section before this

Agreement comes into force, or renewed out of Revenue Expenditure

or provided in proportion to actual mileage out of Capital

Expenditure during the operation of this Agreement, shall ne

withdraw by each Section in proportion to its actual mileage,

due consideration being given to fair distribution with regard

to the age of the stock at the time of withdrawal. The accounts

of the Railway and the adjustment of gross receipts and Revenue

Expenditure in accordance with article 24 shall be made up to

a date agreed upon between the two Governrents.

34.

This Agreement shall come into force on the

day of...

..and shall continue

in force for ten years from that date and thereafter from year

to year unless either Government shall notify to the other

Goverment its desire to determine it, in which case it shall

cease to operate on the expiration of one year from such

notification; and no alteration or modification shall be made

therein
